the 17th annual Screen Actor's Guild awards
The SAG Awards will be on shortly and I completely blanked and forgot to write my feelings on the nominations awhile back. But here they are now! And just like the Oscars, my bb Andrew was not nominated, which is a tragedy. Okay, anyway:

*[what I think will win = underlined & what I want to win = italicized & winner = bold & comments after airing = *]

FILM

Male Actor, Leading
  • Jeff Bridges, True Grit
  • Robert Duvall, Get Low
  • Jesse Eisenberg, The Social Network
  • Colin Firth, The King's Speech
  • James Franco, 127 hours
I'll never get over how brilliant Colin was. All of these performances were amazing, but Colin stands out the most to me.
*ALL THE AWARDS FOR COLIN! He deserves everything he's won.

Female Actor, Leading
  • Annette Bening, The Kids Are All Right
  • Nicole Kidman, Rabbit Hole
  • Jennifer Lawrence, Winter's Bone
  • Natalie Portman, Black Swan
  • Hilary Swank, Conviction
Girl was phenomenal in this film. I haven't seen a performance that stunning in a long time. No one compares to her in my opinion.
* Yay~ Natalie! Her performance was so brilliant - no one deserves it like her.

Male Actor, Supporting
  • Christian Bale, The Fighter
  • Jon Hawkes, Winter's Bone
  • Jeremy Renner, The Town
  • Mark Ruffalo, The Kids Are All Right
  • Geoffrey Rush, The King's Speech
I loved Jeremy in that movie, okay? Geoffrey was awesome as well, but Jeremy! ♥ However, I think Christian's got this one, and he deserves it - his performance was incredible.
*I adore Chrisitan, so I'm glad he won even if it would have been wonderful for Geoffrey to win (or Jeremy! or Mark!).

Female Actor, Supporting
  • Amy Adams, The Fighter
  • Helena Bonham Carter, The King's Speech
  • Mila Kunis, Black Swan
  • Melissa Leo, The Fighter
  • Hailey Steinfeld, True Grit
Leo's got the Golden Globe already, she'll probably get the Oscar, so. I would love for Helena to win though.
*I told you so.

Cast in a Motion Picture
  • Black Swan
  • The Fighter
  • The Kids Are All Right
  • The King's Speech
  • The Social Network
THE TOUGHEST ONE, ALWAYS/ All of these films were unbelievable, beautiful, inspiring. Because of that - just like the Oscars nominations - I cannot choose between the tree italicized. That being said, I think The Social Network's got this one.
*I'm so glad it won. It was, hands down, my favourite film of 2010.

TV

Male Actor, TV Movie or Miniseries
  • John Goodman, You Don't Know Jack
  • Al Pacino, You Don't Know Jack
  • Dennis Quaid, The Special Relationship
  • Edgar Ramirez, Carlos
  • Patrick Stewart, Macbeth: Great Performances
THIS MAN, THIS SHOW. So much brilliance.
*I should've guess that Al would get this one. I love him dearly though, so woot.

Female Actor, TV Movie or Miniseries
  • Claire Danes, Temple Grandin
  • Catherine O'Hara, Temple Grandin
  • Julia Ormond, Temple Grandin
  • Winona Ryder, When Love Is Not Enough
  • Susan Sarandon, You Don't Know Jack
Claire won the Golden Globe, but Susan is one of my favorites so yeah.
*Um, yeah. It felt obvious.

Male Actor, Drama Series
  • Steve Buscemi, Boardwalk Empire
  • Bryan Cranston, Breaking Bad
  • Michael C. Hall, Dexter
  • Jon Hamm, Mad Men
  • Hugh Laurie, House
This is a really tough one seeing as all these actors are magnificent in their roles. But Jon Hamm will always hold a special place in my heart, so I hope he wins. But, like at the Golden Globes, he lost to Buscemi - who I love and who is amazing, but still. Cranston's also one of my favorites, so if he gets it then yay! Hall and Laurie are also amazing. See? So difficult to choose!
*I just knew it! I love Mr. Buscemi tons, though, so it's alright. Don't worry, Dick - I still love you, Jon Hamm.

Female Actor, Drama Series
  • Glenn Close, Damages
  • Mariska Hargitay, Law & Order: SVU
  • Julianna Marguiles, The Good Wife
  • Elisabeth Moss, Mad Men
  • Kyra Sedgwick, The Closer
I just have a feeling about Julianna. Mostly because I still adore her from the ER days.
*Yay for Julianna! I love her so.

Male Actor, Comedy Series
  • Alec Baldwin, 30 Rock
  • Ty Burrell, Modern Family
  • Steve Carell, The Office
  • Chris Colfer, Glee
  • Ed O'Neill, Modern Family
Chris Colfer won the Golden Globe, so who knows anymore? I love Steve so much, though. eek.
*So, I love Alec btw. I'm happy about it, actually.

Female Actor, Comedy Series
  • Edie Falco, Nurse Jackie
  • Tina Fey, 30 Rock
  • Jane Lynch, Glee
  • Sofia Vergara, Modern Family
  • Betty White, Hot in Cleveland
Jane Lynch is forever the head bitch in charge. She gets all my votes.
*Now this just pisses me off! I love you Betty, I do. BUT JANE IS THE MOTHERFUCKING BEST. And this show is biased and rigged because America loves Betty White and finds her cute and old and funny. Yes, I love her too - but Jane!

Ensemble, Drama Series
  • Boardwalk Empire
  • The Closer
  • Dexter
  • The Good Wife
  • Mad Men
Mad Men has too much talent on it's show to not win. All of them consistently make me emotional and do brilliant jobs together and solo.
*Blasphemy! Boardwalk Empire is ruling this awards season. And yes, i love it - I do. But Mad Men is the greatest show on television! My poor show finally found some serious competition.

Ensemble, Comedy Series
  • 30 Rock
  • Glee
  • Hot in Cleveland
  • Modern Family
  • The Office
Come to think of it, Glee will probably win. But I think The Office deserves it more.
*Ugh. Where's my Office love?

STUNT ENSEMBLES

FILM
  • Green Zone
  • Inception
  • Robin Hood
*I told you so.

TV
  • CSI: New York
  • Dexter
  • Southland
  • True Blood
*Um, I told you again?
